Alia HasanDirector Marketing

I am Alia Hasan, and I bring with me a rich and diverse background in education, corporate experience, and community service. Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to the field of education in secondary schools, contributing a wealth of knowledge and expertise. My impact in the academic realm extends even further as I have spent 16 years as a Visiting Faculty of Marketing in esteemed institutions like Bahria University, IOBM, and IBA's Business School.
My journey encompasses a remarkable 20-year corporate odyssey across various disciplines. I have navigated the dynamic realms of Advertising, Marketing, and Communications within internationally recognized Advertising Agencies. Furthermore, I assumed the role of Director overseeing multifaceted domains including Business, ECommerce, Logistics Sales, Call Centre Operations, and Customer Voice for TCS Pvt. Ltd, where I reported directly to C-level executives. Notably, my tenure culminated as the Director of Marketing at TCS Pvt. Ltd, showcasing my ability to lead and drive impactful strategies.
Academically, I hold an MSc in Clinical Microbiology, underscoring my scientific acumen, coupled with an MBA from IBA that has equipped me with comprehensive business insights.In the realm of service, my four-year involvement with Rotary was marked by distinction as I earned recognition as the Best General Secretary, President, and Club of the Year within District 3271. A pinnacle achievement during this time was securing a prestigious Global Grant worth $60,000 from Rotary International. This grant is instrumental in establishing the Children's ER ward at NICH Karachi for the ChildLife Foundation, a testament to my dedication to making a tangible impact. An excited amateur Golfer too. Having also served as a Goodwill Ambassador for a year, I have now embraced the role of Director of Marketing at Al Furqan Welfare Organization. Here, my mission remains steadfast: to empower the underserved through education and bring about transformative change. Supported by an exceptional team, I am determined to create a brighter future for those in need

Naureena WaqarVice President / Founder Member

Naureena Waqar is the Vice president at Al-Furqan Welfare Organization and is amongst its founding members. She has over 30 years of professional and academic experience. Her educational background is BE in Civil Engineering from the NED University Karachi. Initially, she worked as a costing and estimation engineer at NCL and Techno Consult, Karachi for about 7 years before entering the field of academics.

Rubina FaryalPresident / Founder

Rubina Faryal Asif is the President of the Al Furqan Welfare Organization. She has teaching experience of more than 10 years at Progressive Public School and Foundation Public School. She also earned a diploma in Islamic education from Al-Huda International. Her academic achievement includes BSC in physiology. She founded Al Furqan in 2012 and has been working across all branches and AF Home. She's an active social worker and working for the education of underprivileged children.

Irum Salman

Irum Salman is an Academic Head at Al Furqan Welfare Organization. She has teaching experience of more than 10 years, and before she became a part of AF School, she was in charge of English Language and Literature at Head Start School System, teaching both junior and senior grades. She joined AF School in 2014 and is an Academic Head and is devoted towards working with us to help make our mission possible.

Zia Ul IslamGeneral Secretary

Zia-ul-Islam is General Secretary of AlFurqan Welfare Organization. An Electrical Engineer by profession, Zia has worked in the engineering and project management fields for most of his 42-year career. He started his professional career in Canada at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. and worked there for 19 years in the design and project management of nuclear power plants. Thereafter, he moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and worked in the petrochemical field for the next 23 years.

Muhammad IntesaruddinExecutive Council Member

With a remarkable career spanning over three decades, Muhammad Intesaruddin stands as a seasoned executive who has left an indelible mark in diverse sectors such as Banking, Telecom, Infrastructure, and Foreign Services. Currently, he holds the pivotal role of Group Chief Executive Officer at Deokjae Group, while also holding directorship and influential shareholder positions in a range of esteemed enterprises including Bulls & Bulls (Pvt.) Ltd, Easy Insurance, Leapfrog Solutions, O Marketing, and Al-Furqan Trust.A true entrepreneur at heart, Intesaruddin's journey saw the inception of Bulls & Bulls Pvt. Limited in 2008, where he pioneered the revolutionary concept of acquisition-based HR outsourcing solutions. In 2015, he once again demonstrated his visionary drive by establishing O-Marketing, fueled by a passion for redefining the landscape of advertising services.At the helm of Deokjae Group, Intesaruddin's leadership takes on a new dimension as he steers the organization towards spearheading impactful infrastructure development initiatives. His focus lies prominently in the domain of highways and motorways in Pakistan, propelled by the innovative approach of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) ventures.
Academically, Intesaruddin's credentials reflect his dedication to excellence. Armed with an MBA degree specializing in Marketing, he has further fortified his expertise with a certification as a Marketing Professional from the prestigious London Business School.
Yet, his contributions transcend his professional achievements. Intesaruddin wears the hat of a devoted philanthropist, leaving an indelible legacy through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavors. These include the Go-Green Tree Plantation Drive, the creation of an Urban Forest at Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Park Boat Basin, the Revival of Haleji Lake, the establishment of the Lyari Urban Forest, the provision of free education for all through Al-Furqan Trust, the NICH upgradation program, and the transformative Teach the World digitalized education initiative in Pakistan. His unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability resonates through these efforts, reflecting his belief in the collective power to usher in positive change for the planet and the communities it supports.
Outside his professional commitments, Intesaruddin finds solace in his leisure pursuits. A passionate golfer, he also indulges in avid hunting, rounding out a personality that thrives on both professional excellence and personal fulfillment.

Zeeshan HabibExecutive Council Member

Zeeshan Habib holds the role of CEO and partner at Pelle Classics/Pakistan. In addition to his executive responsibilities, he actively participates as a member of the Board of Governors for the Karachi Police Training School (KPTS) and the Sahil Welfare Organization. Demonstrating his commitment to community development, Zeeshan Habib serves on the board of Community Police Karachi (CPK). Furthermore, he holds a significant position as an esteemed Executive Council member within the Al Furqan Welfare Organization.
Beyond his professional and organizational involvements, Zeeshan Habib is a Goodwill Ambassador to the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) and a fervent advocate for human rights and climate change. He channels his dedication towards fostering social welfare initiatives. He has orchestrated numerous successful fundraising campaigns in Baluchistan, specifically targeting the provision of essential resources like clean drinking water,
healthcare facilities, and sustainable plantation drives across the nation.
Zeeshan Habib also takes an active role in shaping discussions within the leather industry, both at local and global forums. His engagement extends beyond business pursuits, as he has been deeply involved in philanthropic endeavors since his college years. Through these efforts, he has been instrumental in creating opportunities for marginalized communities and addressing their social and ethical advancement requirements. This commitment is evident not only within his immediate circles but also in his extended network, as he strives to cultivate a more robust and equitable society.

Shabana Perwaiz

Shabana Perwaiz is a Founding member of Al Furqan Welfare Organization and Principal at AF School Branch 2 Gulistan-e-Jauhar. She started her career as a Lecturer at I.H. Zuberi, Government College of Home Economics, Hyderabad. She has been the Head of the Nutrition & Dietetics Department in Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan Government College of Home Economics, Karachi, and has a so been the Principal of the College before she retired. She has done B.Sc. in Home Economics from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, and later did M.Sc. in Home Economics from the University of Karachi and an M.S. in Food & Nutritional Science from Tuskegee University Al., U.S.A. She is a Founding Member of the Food and Nutrition Society (FANS) of Pakistan and also a Founding and a life member of the Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS).
